Where can I find your resume?The best part of my career is seeing a project I have worked go from concept to construction. I love seeing something I have invested time, emotion, and energy in become reality, all while having people enjoy and interact with the vision I had a hand in creating.
Landscape architecture is a multi-disciplinary field, incorporating aspects of: botany, horticulture, the fine arts, architecture, industrial design, geology and the earth sciences, environmental psychology, geography, and ecology. The activities of a landscape architect can range from the creation of public parks and parkways to site planning for campuses and corporate office parks, from the design of residential estates to the design of civil infrastructure and the management of large wilderness areas or reclamation of degraded landscapes such as mines or landfills. Landscape architects work on all types of structures and external space - large or small, urban, suburban and rural, and with "hard" (built) and "soft" (planted) materials, while integrating ecological sustainability. The most valuable contribution can be made at the first stage of a project to generate ideas with technical understanding and creative flair for the design, organization, and use of spaces. The landscape architect can conceive the overall concept and prepare the master plan, from which detailed design drawings and technical specifications are prepared. They can also review proposals to authorize and supervise contracts for the construction work. Other skills include preparing design impact assessments, conducting environmental assessments and audits, and serving as an expert witness at inquiries on land use issues.
My favorite project to date would have to be Andaz Maui at Wailea, for the fact that it is an very unique resort on a stunning piece of land on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The views are spectacular, and the overall design of the resort complements the existing renovated site flawlessly. Being able to work with some of the most renowned designers in the world was especially attractive. As a premier resort destination, I am excited to see how people will react, interact, and view the project.
The one I am most proud of would be Bella Collina. This was my first project directly out of college, and I was fortunate to work on and eventually oversee all the landscape documentation and construction. In total it consumed 3+ years at the beginning of my career, but its beauty and majestic granger is still marveled today as an amazing destination showcasing an authentic Tuscan environment.

I have been fortunate having had some amazing opportunities allowing me to experience all aspects of the field. Over the past 15+ years I have designed, managed and overseen construction of some amazing projects all while learning something new every day. Landscape Architecture has become more than just a job for me, it has become a passion, a mission, a life designing and educating others about Landscape Architecture. My philosophy is to think out of the box, create unexpected, unique memorable environments.
Created as a promotional video for Andaz Maui at Wailea, showcasing World Class designers, for which I produced the Conceptual Design and Landscape Construction Documents as well as Project Management.
Andaz Maui at Wailea will stay true to one of its essential brand elements, being part of its neighborhood. This will be our first Andaz Resort located beachfront on Mokapu Beach in the distinguished community of Wailea. The Resort has been designed by world renowned designer, the Rockwell Group, that will capture the spirit and feel of today's Hawaii. The resort services will be centered around... being uncomplicated and pleasantly unpredictable for the savvy traveler. Known for its superior quality and superior service delivery, this Andaz will be no different. We will open LEED certified and look forward to successful partnerships with the local community as we creatively set the stage for our food and beverage venues.
The resort will feature 297 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms, two highly acclaimed full service restaurants, two poolside venues and a Hawaiian food, beverage, and retail Market. Our spa will have ten treatment rooms featuring its own private adult pool, apothecary retail shop and fitness center. Multiple cascading outdoor infinity pools will also be available to hotels guests leading into our beach. Guests will also have privileges to spectacular golf courses and tennis clubs. Water sport adventures as well as Maui experiential tours will be easily accessible on site.
Research tells us learning environments matter. Children flourish in light-filled spaces, with ample room for active learning; in outdoor areas with breeze and sunshine; in flexible spaces with the freedom to experiment; and in quiet nooks for reflection and solitude.
The new facility is designed to strengthen the bonds among students, teachers, and the entire community.
Each grade will occupy a whole floor, complete with classrooms, an advanced science lab, and a spacious room where the entire grade can gather. Outdoor terraces and balconies will extend classrooms, while a room for Bible instruction and adjacent prayer garden will provide peaceful sanctuary.

This video shows the immense park, in which I was part of a team that tasked to developed and designed the Central Park scale global icon. The teams design strategy for the a Grand Park was to provide a physical framework for visitors to experience the many new and diverse places and events.
My involvement in this project ranged from site planning, including CAD plan preparation, project coordination, concepts, site amenities, and production of site diagrams and exhibits. This project was chosen as the award winning project and is scheduled to eventually be constructed.
The design strategy for the Al Doha Grand Park was to provide a physical framework for visitors to experience many new and diverse places and events. Approaching the park from any direction the visitors would be aware of how the park blends into the city. The design of the park provides several iconic elements which help visually link the park to the surrounding area.
From any of the nine access point into the park, guests will be within a short distance of the Wadi. The Wadi provides and important unifying element to the park and its low water use and colorful plants provide an educational element explaining the native plants, flora and fauna. Separate walking trails, and horse and camel trails wind their way through a series of interesting landscape elements which stimulate the senses and generate conversation. This sustainable green environment shows the potential for how low water use plants can create beauty and contrast in the environment.
This video shows the overall reasort which I was able to work on. The majority of my involvement was on the Vills. This included numerous site plan and building revisions due to the clients everchanging desires. This project is currently under construction.
The new Park Hyatt Marrakech is a 35,000 sm (377,000 sf) hotel, residential, and retail development within the Al Maaden Golf and Resort of Marrakech. It offers guests and residents luxurious rooms in a dramatic setting with a view of the Atlas Mountains. Amenities include a resort center, Park Hyatt meeting residences, specialty restaurant, spa, villas, and souk (commercial quarter). The hotel has two main pools: an all day pool near the resort center and a formal pool overlooking an 18-hole golf course and the Atlas Mountain range. A water feature separates the resort from the golf course.
The 120 hotel rooms, with views of the golf course and mountains, are grouped in clusters around a common courtyard or in a layout for small private groups with two rooms and two suites sharing an interior courtyard with a reflecting pool. Forty-five exclusive villas include a living room, dining room, fireplace, and pool.
